Programmes and Activities

This project is facilitated by ALIVE with a consortium of partners targeting children of school age (Girls and Boys) on Sex Education, Sexual Violence, Prevention Strategies and how to respond when violence occurs.

ALIVE and its team under the campaign theme “ALIVE and Partners Unite to end Child Sexual Abuse” paid a visit to 6 schools across Rivers State.

World Environment Day is observed yearly on the 5th of June. Its a day set aside by the United Nations (UN) to raise awareness about the environment with a focus on issues of Global Warming, Ozone depletion, Climate Change, Forests Conservation, Marine Pollution and the Preservation of Aquatic and Terrestrial Life and several other Environmental challenges and Occurrences.

This year's theme revolves around Time for Nature  “Celebrating Biodiversity”. “With 1 million species facing extinction. The importance of Biodiversity cannot be overemphasized.

 

This is a current and ongoing programme of ALIVE to document incidents of Rights Violations

A comprehensive analysis of cases/incidents, data collation and disaggregation of data and vital aspects of this Research work. Research findings will be validated, published and disseminated widely.

Research strategy involves field Reports, Newspaper reports, Eye witness, Accounts, Oral reports of victims.

 

ALIVE is a core cluster working with NNEW on a SACE Project. SACE is a governance project funded by USAID to support civil society to advocate for reforms that improve transparency and accountability in Nigeria. The project works with 16 Core Partners in Cluster and Collaborated initiatives.

The NNEW Initiative is promoting an Enabling Business Environment in the Informal sector.

NNEW is interested in addressing Harassment of Women in their business places confronted with multiple tax and levies payment.

ALIVE’S Violence Free Safe Spaces is a referral platform created to assist Women and Children victims of domestic and sexual abuse.

ALIVE assists by ensuring follow-ups with law enforcement Agencies and seeks appropriate legal measures to ensure that sexual offenders are punished.

The Help lines which ALIVE also tags” Anti Violence Hot Lines” is to enable immediate reports of incidents of abuse or violence.
