ALIVE is a core cluster working with NNEW on a SACE Project. SACE is a governance project funded by USAID to support civil society to advocate for reforms that improve transparency and accountability in Nigeria. The project works with 16 Core Partners in Cluster and Collaborated initiatives.

The NNEW Initiative is promoting an Enabling Business Environment in the Informal sector.

NNEW is interested in addressing Harassment of Women in their business places confronted with multiple tax and levies payment.

NNEW seeks to advocate for clear cut favourable tax policies to prevent multiple taxation, tax injustice and touting.

ALIVE is working collaboratively with NNEW and heads the Clusters Advocacy Team.

ALIVE within the Cluster is effectively engaging with allies and partners to facilitate Advocacy Sessions with Critical Stakeholders Visits to Government Agencies like the Ministry of Women Affairs has been carried out.

The Project is a one year project and it is expected that at the end of one year, there will be a considerable reduction in harassment and manhandling of women in small and micro business enterprises.

There will also be a safe environment for women traders to conduct their business.

The Women in the market place also will become empowered to advocate for issues that concern them.
